Job description

FUNCTION

Working in a cross-departmental role between the maintenance and despatch teams you will be responsible for general facility maintenance, labouring and providing general assistance both departments.

Job requirements

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES         

·         Decorating: painting walls and ceilings, touching up skirting boards and door frames

·         Repairs and Maintenance: Building desks, chairs and carry out general upkeep and maintenance of the building and external grounds, mowing lawn, etc.

·         Operating scales to accurately count parts by weight

·         Picking parts from stock

·         Following specific customer packing instructions

·         Ensuring accuracy of stock through careful counting and location of stock

·         Packing parts for storage or shipment to the customer

·         Assisting the team with achieving targets

·         Understanding and achieving the correct quality standards within the team

·         To assist maintenance and production carryout their daily tasks

·         Assisting in other departments when required

·         To comply with Health and Safety requirements

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

·         Ability to work effectively and use own initiative

·         Good verbal and written communication

·         Self-motivated with ability to work unsupervised

·         Good analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to work to a high standard of accuracy within a timely manner

·         Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records

·         Good hand / eye coordination

·         Be supportive and a motivated member of the team

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Essential

·         Good Time Management skills

·         Problem solving

·         Ability to work effectively both independently and within a small team

·         Ability to work without supervision

 

Desirable (Training can be provided)

·         Previous experience of working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment

·         FLT license

·         Scissor lift license

·         Manual handling experience


OTHER JOB COMPONENTS

·         The role will require reaching with hands and arms, stooping or kneeling, as well as lifting of materials and products

Shifts:

Note: we operate a 4 day working week (37.5hours)

Monday to Wednesday - 07:00 to 17:00 & Thursday 07:00 to 16:30

Overtime as and when required
